Frequently asked questions

Cloud-first management fits how people work now. Intune removes the servers, VPN dependencies and imaging that legacy tools require, supports remote and hybrid staff natively, and integrates with Entra ID and Defender out of the box. Most organizations already license it in Microsoft 365, so consolidating reduces cost while improving security.

Almost every use case can move to Intune, but most are better rebuilt for Intune than reproduced line for line. Group Policy sprawl, legacy scripts and old app packages are usually simplified during the gap analysis. We map each current capability to its Intune equivalent, flag what improves, and identify the few items that need a different approach.

It gets stronger and simpler. Intune reports device compliance directly to Entra ID, so Conditional Access can block unhealthy or unknown devices. Defender for Endpoint onboards automatically, security baselines replace hand-maintained GPOs, and BitLocker, LAPS and update compliance are visible from one console instead of several reports.

It depends on device count, platform mix and how much custom configuration exists today. Planning typically takes a few weeks.
